Kindergarten Color Wheels

Kindergarten has been learning about and working with color families. During this lesson they used the color wheel color family and made these color wheels using shapes and lines. They used crayons and markers to create this project.

1st Grade Color Wheel Turtles

First graders have been learning about color families. They learned about the color wheel family and made these turtles. They used painted tempera, cut paper and markers to create these turtles.







Asian Architecture - 2nd Grade

Second graders have been creating art and learning about different types of architecture. During this project they learned about the style of Asian architecture. They used markers and crayons to create this project.

Cat in the Hat - 2nd Grade

Second Graders made a cat in the hat work of during the month of February to celebrate Dr. Seuss. They used crayon watercolor resist techniques, painted tempera and marker to make this cat in the hat project.

4th Grade African Adinkra Cloth

Fourth graders worked a long time and very hard on these cloths. They learned about printmaking and how to create a printing plate using a foam square. They learned how to use brayers and roll ink on properly. They also used marker, crayon and watercolor resist on this project. The researched and used African Symbols in this project.

Kindergarten Suns

Kindergarten has been working with color families. Recently they learned what the warm and cool color families were. They created these cut paper suns using the warm color family.


Name Hieroglyphs by Third Grade

Third graders have been completing several lessons involving the country Egypt. They recently created a work of art using their names. They were given several handouts with ancient hieroglyph writings and they had to find each letter of their names. They then did finished symbols in marker and assembled them in the correct order to spell their names. They made some wonderful hieroglyph name art.
