First Graders made crayon resist flowers using crayons and watercolors. They used the color wheel color family colors. These colors are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

1st Grade Color Wheel Flowers
First graders are working with color families. The first color family they are learning about is the color wheel color family, or the rainbow color family. First they made textured paper in each color wheel color using tempera paint and found objects. They made the texture paper using printmaking techniques. They used the textured papers to make the cut paper flowers in the correct color wheel colors order.
Kindergarten Color Wheel Flowers
Recently Kindergarten classes began learning about different color families. The first family they learned about was the color wheel color family, or the rainbow color family. They learned that this family is made up of six colors and they learned the correct order the colors go in.
They are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple
They made these cut paper flowers in the correct color wheel colors and order.
